Sudan Flood Emergency
Sudan is in the grip of a catastrophe. Torrential rains have unleashed devastating floods, turning communities into disaster zones overnight.
Homes have been swept away, livelihoods destroyed, and the country now faces an escalating humanitarian crisis.
But the situation took an even darker turn with the recent collapse of the Arba’at Dam, which has pushed countless more into peril. Over 50,000 people have been severely affected by the dam breach alone, while across Sudan, more than 317,000 people are struggling to survive.
Sudan was already battling conflict, economic instability, and widespread malnutrition. Now, the floods have added a crushing blow. The Arba’at Dam disaster has already taken over 130 lives and left countless families without access to clean water, shelter, or basic healthcare.
