As the Emergency Crisis in the Horn of Africa enters into a critical stage, Food Insecurity is one of the major worries for millions of people displaced by the ongoing drought and famine. As of June 2019, over 14 million people in the Horn of Africa are in an Emergency Food shortage due to lower than normal rainfall in 2018 and the first half of 2019.

Amoud Foundation has been providing emergency relief in the region, and in the month of Ramadan aimed to provide 2 million meals to those who do not have access to food. With the blessing of God and the support of donors, Amoud Foundation provided over 2.2 million meals to those suffering of food insecurity during the month of Ramadan in 2019!

As the only organization with the primary focus of providing relief in the Horn of Africa, Amoud Foundation is on the ground every day ensuring that the hungry are fed, the thirsty have clean water, the sick are cured and the orphans are cared for! On the Clean Water front, Amoud Foundation has built over 624 water wells, providing access to clean drinking water to over 1 million people every month!
